i purchased one of these in 2019 and soon after the black control panel start to suffer from discoloring under normal usage. i contacted samsung product service within the warranty period and was denied coverage for repair on the ground that it is 'cosmetic'. the repair was prohibitively expensive by the way. well, i paid extra to purchase the finger-print proof feature and it caused the unit to be unsightly. samsung won't back up their product, on this feature at least. be ware.

I purchased the Samsung 30" cookto 4 months ago. I love it its easy to clean and has such a sleek look. The burner knobs glow blue when on so you know it's on. I especially love the fact that it has the 5th burner in the center. Great for large pots.

Really disappointed on the quality of this product. I purchased this product 2 months ago and it is starting to get discoloration on the top panel and by the knobs. I called support service and told me that i need to schedule a service, not covered by warranty to fix the cosmetic issue. this is not what i expected from a samsung product, this is a quality issue. it's been less than 2 months.

i bought my 30" cooktop 9 months ago. i really enjoyed the details like the griddle and the lighted knobs. the cast iron grates i feel are the problem. they stay hot a really long time when the stove is off, which is not the problem. moving the grate to clean the stove before it is completely cool in addition to the poor design of the grate caused the grate to crack and eventually break. and trying to find a replacement part has been super frustrating. customer support sent me some links to parts that did not have the part listed and told me to call parts on m-f. 2 months, no resolution.

we had a kitchen remodel in march and decided to go with this stovetop due to a lot of the positive reviews online. the fact that it was on back-ordered was a disappointment but we felt worth the wait. we received the stove the second week in may. two weeks later we noticed this discoloration on the front of the stove we called samsung and they said discoloration was not covered under the warrany and that they were so sorry but there was nothing they could do. we actually had a technician come out and the response was the same. i will never purchase a samsung product again

After moving into a new house that was full of old appliances, I knew that I would need to slowly update my appliances as they went out on me. I had the opportunity to replace my old cook top with a new Samsung cook top & overall I am extremely pleased with this appliance!
The cook top is black stainless steel. It is a darker black color, unlike other black stainless steel products that look more brown/black in color. With the grates, the cook top sits higher than the counter top does (about 4 inches higher than your counter top). The cook top comes with 3 grates and 5 burners, as well as a griddle.
Cons first: Because of the fact that there are only 3 grates for the whole cook top and they are cast iron, they are a bit heavy. The paint has already chipped on both sides of the cook top, closest to the knobs. It is not noticeable while looking at it or standing over it, unless you are specifically looking at it. It has chipped from the exact same location on both sides. The next con is that the griddle has not held up and this is over a 2 month period of owning the product. I do cook with it often, however, it has started to stick and even after cleaning with a detergent and sponge, there are darker spots I have been unable to remove. I do believe that this is just a sweet addition to my amazing product, so in my opinion it holds no bearing on whether the product itself works. I deducted 1 star ONLY for the fact that the paint has already peeled. I hope that this does not spread farther over time.
Pros: The cook top connects to the SmartThings app. I have a Samsung phone, so I found it in my app store. While I am not able to start my burners with the app (probably a good thing), I am able to see which burners are on and off at any given time. Set up was a breeze. The cook top comes with 5 burners, one being a giant center burner. This burner has been really helpful when I want to heat something up very quickly. The cook top has been very easy to clean, and even with boil overs, I have been able to wipe it clean with a rag and some warm water without issue. Installation seemed quick and easy enough. Although a company set it up for me, however, they took less than 15 minutes to get it done. The flame from the burners along with the blue glow from the burners being used creates this sleek, modern addition to the kitchen and looks really nice.
Overall, great product so far, very efficient, & great looking. I feel like I have a million dollar kitchen now!

With its glowing blue knobs and raised, clean stainless steel lines, this cooktop is gorgeous as well as powerful and it's intuitive enough for my young child to navigate (supervised, of course!). My spouse does most of the cooking in our house, but this cooktop has legit inspired me to cook more.
Since the pandemic, I've been making hot breakfast almost every morning because it's such a pleasant experience to use this cooktop, and let's face it, every morning is better with eggs. Our whole family had fun making pancakes with the griddle attachment - smooth from griddle to plate to sink and back!
I'm petite (5'1" on a tall day), and at first I worried about the height of this cooktop. My kid manages it with a step stool just fine, but I have selected/rejected other big ticket items based on how they fit my frame--my baby's crib had to pass the "Can I bend over to put a sleeping baby down without standing on my tiptoes?" test, for instance. This futuristic beauty IS taller than many older cooktops, but I can see into my pots and pans just fine and reach to stir, flip, and ladle everything easily. When I do need extra leverage, like when pouring the contents of one pan into another, I don't actually need a step stool; a kitchen mat more than does the trick! Now that I'm used to the new height, I barely give it a second thought.
Finally, I just took a virtual cooking class that had me using all the pots and pans in my kitchen and every burner on the stove: deep frying tofu on one, sautéing separate veggies on two others, boiling water for noodles on the fourth, and simmering a stock on the fifth. I didn't know if I was up for the challenge, but this cooktop sure was! It was my secret weapon. I got lots of compliments from my fellow classmates too!
If you want to feel like a chef in your own home, I highly recommend this stylish, powerful cooktop. Love it!!

I bought this cooktop in July and so far no complaints. The grates are heavy but not unmanageable. I got the finger print resistant black stainless and its easy to keep clean. I have so much control over my cooking that I believe that burned food will be a thing of the past. I look forward to cooking and enjoying the cooking experience. Thank you Samsung.

I purchased this cooktop because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports and now I know why. I just switched from electric to gas and couldn't be more happy. The gas flow is even and steady, quick to light, the grates are nice and heavy and the lighted dials are a bonus. I also love the center power burner; makes for boiling large pots of water a breeze. One word of advice if you're thinking of purchasing this cooktop, make sure to have your opening measured before installation to include the wifi unit attached to the undermount of the cooktop. My installers had to remove the wifi unit because it would not fit (easy to detach).

Knobs are inferior
All the knobs on the cooktop have cracked and broken I assume due to excessive heat not sure contacted customer service at Samsung been trying for a year and a half to get replacement knobs the only way they'll send them as if I get the serial number which is mounted on the underside of the cooktop which is now in a custom installation on granite cooktop customer service with supply receipt and model number but they refused to assist me these knobs are extremely expensive And malfunction many cases reported on the Internet deeply disappointed

The grates on this Samsung cooktop make you feel like you are on the line in a restaurant, which is exactly how I want to feel cooking at home. The middle burner, especially, has some juice, getting you from zero to boil much quicker than standard burners (though watch at mid-range heat when it goes from dual burners to one).
I mostly cook on the bottom left mid-range burner, smoothly toggling the light-up knobs from simmer to high. So far, I've seared, fried, stir-fried, braised, and boiled. I've cooked pots and pots of rice. I've used the griddle plate to toast tortillas. All of these activities have been a pleasure.
Cleaning is a cinch with the sturdy grates removed. Be careful, though: you can easily scratch the black stainless surface (like I did) with the standard yellow/green sponge/scouring pad combo.
Handsome on my countertop, this cooktop will be the central tool of my family's meals for years to come.

This is a fantastic stove top with some great features and a great style. Aesthetically, it looks awesome and clean. It is easy to maintain the black-stainless steel, and the area around the burners is simple and quick to clean. The five-burners offer plenty of cook space and are plenty big to fit all sorts of pots and pans. The grills are solidly built and feel very durable. Overall, the unit is gorgeous and accents our kitchen well.
From a functionality point of view - I have a couple issues. There are 5 burners, two medium on the left, one extra large in the center, one small in the top left, and one large in the bottom right. I kind of wish there had been a second large burner in stead of one of the medium, and replace the small with one of the medium burners. The small burner is useful if you have an extra small sauce pan, but does not provide much functionality for anything larger. It does not put out enough heat to use anything larger than a small sauce pan, and thus goes unused most days for me. The other burners are excellent though! Specially the center burner. It is a beast and puts out a TON of heat. The griddle that comes with the unit is a treat - a lot of fun to use for burgers, sandwiches, and pancakes. It is definitely a nice extra feature to have!
The wifi is capability is okay. I have some issues with connecting. It requires a 2.4 Ghz signal versus a 5 Ghz signal. My router puts out the best signal possible, a combo of the 2.4 and 5 Ghz signal. As such, connecting using the 2.4 Ghz signal is hit and miss and requires some luck. I did get the unit connected - and the features are extremely nice. Knowing that the stove is off is a peace of mind that can't be beat!
Overall, a great stove top despite some of the downfalls, that I would highly recommend to everyone.

This cooktop is the best I've owned by a long shot. The black stainless instantly upgraded the looks of the counter space and is eye grabber when you walk into the room. The blue LED lights are a nice feature that allows you to know whether or not the cooktop is off at a glance. I love that there are five burners made up of all of the different sizes and the power burner does not disappoint. Boiling water seems to take half the time compared to my previous cooktop. The cooktop cleans easily and continues to look like new after a couple of months of use. This unit was also very easy to install and convert to propane (conversion kit included with gas cooktop). I would definitely recommend!

This cooktop replaced an older 4 burner gas cooktop that we had. The old cooktop basically had one setting, the high wasn't much stronger or hotter than the lowest setting. Boiling water and cooking anything took forever. Now we have 5 burners and the high allows water to boil so quickly and we have low settings that we can use without burning food! I love the griddle that you can put on top, it works very well for pancakes and quesadillas. It also has wifi capability but I have yet to set that part up. Not sure how I would use it for a cooktop. It is a beautiful black stainless steel, which now matches our fridge, dishwasher and oven! The controls light up blue when they are in use, which looks really good also!

This cooktop is the perfect addition to my kitchen. Installation was simple, just drop down the unit into the preexisting space and with a few adjustments to the gas line we were good to go.
The stove itself has plenty of cooking space, with a center burner and a griddle that can be placed for pancakes and burgers. The whole griddle heats evenly. The grates are heavy, but easily removed for cleaning. I love the igniter knobs, the light up blue when in use. Easy to see if you've accidentally left on a burner.
This stove is wifi compatible. The app is easy to navigate, and will show you what burner is in use. Unfortunately you can't use the app to turn on or off the burners, if you've forgot.
I really like this stove. Sits perfectly on my counter, allowing space for cooking.

I have had this cook top (model NA30N6555TG/AA) for approximately 1.5 weeks and have cooked on it basically every day, multiple times a day. It is very sleek and modern looking as well as practical and easy to use.
Pros:
The blue light surrounding the knobs are a very vibrant, pretty color, which makes it very clear to see which burners are on and which are off while you are in the kitchen... this is typically very difficult to see if you have large pans on top of each burner without any type of lighting, or if the burner is on low and the flame is difficult to see.
I also like that it hooks up to my Samsung Galaxy 10 mobile phone with the free SmartThings app. If I am sitting down with a group of friends for a meal, I can jump on the app very quickly and the app can tell me which burners are left on and which are off. This way, I do not have to excuse myself from the activities or discussion. I have had no disconnect issues and set up was extremely easy, also made easier with a quick guide sent along with the product itself.
The cook top came with 3 large and heavy cast iron grates that are also very nice looking. The weight of the grates make it very difficult to be moved accidentally when shuffling pans across the cook top. I have been able to heat tortillas on the grates themselves without issue and the grates have overall been easy to clean.
The cook top is a 5 burner cook top, with the powerful center burner which easily and quickly allows me to boil water and heat up food very quickly!
There is enough space to comfortably cook food on all 4 corner burners without pans hitting or being off centered from the burner.
Con:
No warm setting - on my previous cook top, i had a high, medium, and low setting however, i was able to turn it down under low, and it kept my food warm without further cooking. On this cook top, your lowest setting is low, which still cooks the food.
The Smart Connect LED indicator is right next to the knobs and is the same blue color as the pretty blue lights on each knob. I catch myself constantly looking over to make sure it is the indicator and not an actual burner on. I believe the indicator light would be better placed in the back of unit.
Overall, I am very pleased with this cook top and have had lots of fun cooking with and experimenting with this product. It's sleek, modern design will capture the eye of all that walk through your kitchen and the ease and consistency of use will attract those who love cooking

I love love love this stovetop. I love the 5 burners. I love how heavy the grates are - and how they take up the entire stove top so I can put something larger on it and I don't have to worry about it falling off. The griddle is amazing - I have used it for making tortillas and grilled cheese sandwiches. The burners come on instantly and have consistent heating. One word of advice - the cut out for this stovetop is more rectangular than some older cook tops that were more rounded . But overall, this is a great stovetop and a wonderful upgrade from my previous stovetop.
