The 22k BTU and dual burner alone was the main reason for purchasing the 30" cooktop but once installed and connected it to my vent hood and Smart Things network, the cooktop functionality merged with the other appliances and we're now able to see it's status but best of all, it automatically activates the vent hood once a burner is activated.

we were going back & forward between getting this model vs the 30" induction cooktop with the knob. glad we went with this model as now i can go back to singeing my chicken wings, utilize the griddle, all while utilizing several burners at one time. we had a regular electric cooktop that was approximately 10 years old & it suffered a major crack in the surface which left us to use a portable induction cooker's with x2 burner's max. i love how quickly they cooked & almost bought one but the features with this gas cooktop outweighed the best feature (cooking faster) of the induction one. plus, the center burner on this cooktop can rival that of any induction cooktop imo. the only down fall is that i cannot pair this cooktop with the app. other than that, it's highly recommended!

Replaced a 13 year old Jenn Air unit. Like how you can use the smart things app to monitor if the oven is on, or turn on the range hood above. The cooktop will also communicate with the Samsung microwave to turn on the hood when boiling water, etc.

They promise so many features but none of them work. The phone app for the cooktop never worked. It has never connected, even with the help of tech support. Support only makes excuses for why they cannot resolve the problem. My LAST Samsung purchase. I will even get an iPhone after this.

Have it since April 2019, no problem at all. i like the grate so just slide the pot around without lifting.
we like the power of the center burner when cooking stir fried or heat up the cast iron fast to sear my steak. black SS look great

Smart connect stopped working in less than a year

i bought this cooktop because it can integrate with smartthings, but that only lasted for 9 months, then it stopped working. i tried several troubleshooting options but nothing worked. contacted samsung customer support and they have no idea what is smart connect and how to reset it let alone troubleshoot it. i am disappointed. otherwise the cooktop itself is good. but cleaning it is very difficult, the panel around the knobs are poorly designed that food and trash can get between the knobs and get into the circuit panel. it is super hard to clean that part.

I absolutely love this new Samsung 30" Gas Cooktop with 22K BTU Dual Power Burner in Black Stainless Steel. This is my first 5 burner and it looks very modern and professional looking, has 3 removable grates which are heavy and well made, very durable, makes cleaning easy.
I really like that the knobs have a blue illuminating light when you turn the burner on and gives an elegant look to the cooktop.
The middle burner is large and puts out a hot high flame which is very nice to have for larger pots and pans and heats up well, water is boiling in no time. Also has Wi-Fi smart connect that allows you to monitor the status of the cooktop, this is done through the SmartThings app through your phone.
Lastly, it come with a very nice, heavy, cast iron griddle that is perfect for pancakes, eggs, bacon. I would recommend this cooktop to anyone looking for a 5 burner.

Bought about a month ago- there was a significant delay in shipping but it was worth the wait. I love cooking over gas and it doesn't disappoint. My favorite feature is the wok holder- we use a wok at least once a week and it keeps it steady. I would recommend

Poor quality control in unit, missing mandatory parts required to operate, the entire cooktop is not usable.
Cooktop will not operate. Cannot cook food, or provide any BTU. The entire unit is currently dead and cannot function at any level.
Samsung only suggested I uninstall and start over with a new installation all over. Hun? Who pays for that because of faulty new Samsung? Repeat a remodel installation because missing parts used to work?
Samsung didn't accept my first review because it only highlighted the delivery issue missing part, and asked for only review of operating the unit. It doesn't work. That's my review. It's a large paperweight installed in our counter.
Cooktop is faulty, poorly prepared for consumer, and missing key components to operate.

unless you only want this stove just for decoration stay away from it. after 10 months of use it started to show white spots in the front panel. we used easy off for stoves to clean up grease after a cooking so we did not use anything out of the ordinary for cleaning. the product is under warranty, but samsung did not honor the warranty because it was a cosmetic defect. we will not buy samsung appliances again!

Beautiful gas cooktop. Comes with griddle and wok attachment. Fingerprint black stainless steel is truly a marvel. Makes clean a snap. Center burner is 22k which is amazing for a home cooktop. Brings water to a boil FAST. The WiFi and Bluetooth are nice touches but I won't have a use for it. Basically tells you if unit is on

This cooktop is awesome and puts my old one to shame. I love to cook on a natural gas cooktop, but I didn't realize the poor heating performance of my old cooktop that the builder put in. It starts with center burner that's rated at 22K BTU which heats up anything rather quickly, including large pots of water. My mother-n-law came over and wanted to start to boil a 6-Quart pot of water 30 min before she needed it, we kindly told her we just needed 5 min using our new giant burner. She was amazed, and it's the same feeling I had when I first used it. The left burners are perfectly matched to the heavy-duty griddle Samsung includes with this cooktop (Props to Samsung for including such a nice, high-quality piece) and also put out a generous amount of heating power.
Overall, the design is elegant and sleek and looks great next to our new Samsung Wall Oven in the same finish. Stainless black is definitely the new standard in modern kitchens, once you see it in person, it's hard to image anyone wanting anything else. The knobs blend nicely with brushed nickel cabinet handles in our kitchen and the blue LED light looks very modern. I first I thought the blue LED light for the knobs were just for aesthetics, but they are a very nice safety feature, as you an easily tell if you left a burner on from across the room. The WiFi connectivity allow it to connect to my SmartThings App where I can check to see if any burner is on. I can always verify no burner is on, which is extremely helpful when I have to rush out of the house and don't remember if I turned off the burners or not.
My experience with installation through Samsung's partner XPO was also excellent. They called to schedule a time, gave us a 30 min reminder before they arrived, and arrived promptly within their time window. This is our third time using XPO to install our Samsung appliances and they are always very cordial and professional and make quick work of the installation. On word caution, my builder's cooktop that was installed previously was only 19 in. wide, while this one is 19 1/2 in. I was able to get the whole enlarged to accommodate the Samsung cooktop prior to installation.
Overall, this cooktop brings the heat, as every great cooktop should.

This cooktop is by far the nicest cooktop I have ever had. It looks perfect with my granite and cabinets and the style is modern/sleek. The knobs are super-easy to use and help you quickly light the appliance. I like that they change color when the appliance is on so I know that gas is coming out of the line.
The middle burner puts out a very hot and high flame. The other day I needed to boil a small pot (about 2 cups) of water and it came to a boil in about 3-4 minutes. I personally don't like to cook on the middle burner but use it to starts boiling pots of water and move them to a side burner. I can't wait to purchase a wok and be able to cook stir-fry with the accompanying attachment for the middle burner.
The grates are easy to remove which makes cleaning simpler. The surface is easy to wipe down and clean.
I also like that the cooktop connects to my SmartThings app. It was very easy to connect. And I can look on there to see if a burner is on or off. Because ours is gas, you can't turn it off or on with the app.

We bought our cooktop few months ago. It has worked to perfection. Really provides necessary centralized that wok needs. Additionally, extra heat is perfect for high temperatures needed to sear steak to perfection. Could not be happier with this great Samsung product!

The Samsung gas cooktop dual power burner is a great quality durable cooktop, the three grates are heavy and clean easily. The accessories which are the wok grate and griddle are cast iron and also easy to clean, the stainless steel finger resistance is a plus.
The features are something unexpected the bluetooth auto connectivity connects with the hood and is located under the left knob to monitor and control the hood. The wi-fi smart connect allows you to monitor the operating status and power settings of the cooktop, both smart connect and auto connectivity can be accessed through the smartThings app through your phone.
This cooktop is more efficient than my old cooktop, it boils water in no time and I am able to cook food a lot faster. The blue illuminating light gives an elegant finish to the cooktop and I have had multiple compliments.

This Samsung 5 burner stove top is absolutely amazing! I've never owned or even used a 5 burner stove. I definitely have a much happier efficient cooking experience each and every time.
First, the 5th burner is a huge plus. I thought it would just be a perk to have an extra burner to cook food. However it's more than that. The flame is large on the middle 5th burner. Large flame makes cooking speed increase and equals more efficient cooking. If I need heat quick for faster cooking, I use that middle burner. My pasta cooking is definitely done on this burner. The water heats up in no time. My kids like the maruchan brand soups and the water heats up in half the time. My hot water for my teas heats up fast so I get my tea ASAP without having to be away too long from my kids who constantly are fighting when left alone for too long.
Secondly, this stove top cane with a cast iron griddle. It is amazing on big breakfast days and burger days. I've made pancakes on this griddle and it has been a blessing to be able to cook more in less time. I could have pancakes going while also cooking the sausage and bacon. More output for my impatient kids that want their food quick if they are already sitting at the table. No more dibs on the next pancake or burger. Everyone pretty much gets their food at the same time. It is so beautiful to be able to eat quicker myself instead of at the end.
Lastly, the LED knobs are not only super cool and aesthetically great looking, but they basically let you know from far away if the stove is still on or not. With my old stove top, I used to send one of my kids or have to eat up myself to walk close up to the stove to check if the burner was still on after cooking tortillas. I say tortillas because that's the only time I leave stove on in case someone else wants more tortillas. Now, I can see before entering kitchen if I left stove on.
Absolutely amazing stove top! I am so in love with it! It is definitely an upgrade that is well worth it!

Upon installation i was already excited to get cooking. The look is very sleek and modern. A beautiful touch is the blue illuminated knobs. Wow! We all know we have a favorite burner, mine is the center one. I love cooking soups and sauces in the center. The setting is so accurate i have been able to control even the simmer. Sautéing meats has become a breeze. I now realize why i missed gas so much. Cooking is a pleasure. The rest of my family enjoys using the plate to make breakfast all day. Eggs and bacon anyone?! I would highly recommend this cooktop. Oh did I mention how easy it is to clean, bonus!

This is my first 5 burner stove. The placement of the burners are excellent. We use all of them depending on what im cooking. The blue light on the knobs are super useful. With my previous stove I use to wonder if I turned off the stove or not, but with Samsung, there is no confusion, it is very clear, when light is ON, stove is ON. I am surprise by how fast I am cooking things now, I am serious, the cooking is faster, not sure how, but it just works. My wife is very happy, she doesnt have to be in the kitchen for long time. The center burner is the highlight of all. It was dual burners, one for large pans, and other one does the simmer, we use that the most. This stove also connects to the Smartthings. I have it connected to my stove. We cannot control (ON or OFF the stove - obviously thats a super scary thing), but can monitor which burners are ON. Also there is a self diagnostic feature that tells us, if there is any issue with the appliance. I don't have the compatible hood, if I had, that would be awesome, because this stove can communicate with the hood, and automatically turn on the hood and light when the stove is ON. Thats a great feature. I hope to buy the hood very soon. Stove also came with a cast iron griddle, I have used it once to make burgers and patties, it turned out super. I had spilled food when cooking and some oil too, but I was able to clean it with a cloth very easily. I also washed the grille in the dishwasher and it came out as brand new. Overall, the quality of the product is exceptional. I like it and my wife loves it.

I have had this cooktop for nearly a year. The design is solid with the exception of the WiFi component, IF you have a down-draft vent hood behind your cooktop you will need to ensure there is enough room to install both due to spacing. The center burner with the wok grill is an excellent touch and works really well. The burner temperature settings take a bit to adjust to, but the fact that the dials illuminate is a great safety feature.
